Role:

Bangladesh is a developing country in South Asia, according to Bangladesh government data, the number of people with disabilities in Bangladesh is 4.6 million. Bangladesh government and non-governmental organizations have been taking and implementing various projects to transform this large population into skilled human resources. The Bangladesh government has created several institutions to work for the welfare of the disabled, among them Jatiyo protibondhi unnoyon Foundation, Jatiyo Dristy Protibondhi Proshikkhon O Punorbason Kendro, Saririk Protibondhi Surokkha Trust etc. Through these institutions, the government is playing a significant role in the socio-economic development of the disabled population.

Moreover, through the Department of Social Services, the Bangladesh government provides allowances to poor disabled people, provides disability education stipends to disabled students, provides various trainings including retail loans for the purpose of creating employment for poor disabled people. Government funded Bangladesh Computer Council provides computer training to disabled people. In addition, government and private institutions provide various trainings to the disabled in handicrafts, cottage industry, cattle rearing, wickerwork, mobile phone repair so that the disabled can create their own self-employment.

Our goal is to:

Protibondhibd.com is a website working to ensure access to information for people with disabilities. Many Govemant and private institutions provide various facilities to the disabled as described above. As a result of not being able to know when and what facilities are being provided by any organization at the right time, many disabled people are deprived of those facilities.
